Billing Review

Turn billing questions into organized evidence, expert decisions and accountable follow-through.

Open any part or example to see the work, what the client receives and one fictional exception followed from start to finish.

Billing review in three parts: a self-audit organizes the client’s billing evidence and exceptions, a qualified expert review decides what selected exceptions mean, and remediation follow-through tracks approved actions to a recheck and a closure decision, supported by records and operating knowledge.

Separately Scoped Treatment Branch

Why Billing Review Stands On Its Own

Referral development and admissions are one engagement. Billing review is scoped separately, when a treatment provider wants its billing questions answered with evidence. It can draw on the same records and operating knowledge, but its buyer, evidence, reviewer, approval chain and acceptance tests are different.

A done task does not make a resolved issue. Action B-01-A1 is complete, but B-01 still waits on its agreed recheck, the historical review evidence is still missing and no financial result is inferred.

Who Does The Work And Who Decides

Agreed Scope

Define The Review Before Work Begins

The client and BH Tech agree the questions, source access, period, sample, qualified reviewer, implementation owner and acceptance evidence. Billing leadership approves findings and actions. Specialist services and bookkeeping each receive their own scope.

The Relationship

How A Billing Review Engagement Runs

  1. Client-Needed InsightStart with the billing questions the organization needs answered.
  2. Scoped Billing ReviewThe period, sample, reviewer role, owners and exclusions are agreed before work begins.
  3. Training & AdoptionApproved SOP and role guidance, practiced on the team’s own work.
  4. Licensed Access & SupportOngoing access with the support a separate agreement names.
  5. Separately Scoped DevelopmentNew build-out as needs grow, each piece scoped on its own.
Maintenance LoopWhen approved findings change how the team works, BH Tech updates the approved SOPs, role guidance and definitions. The next review follows the cadence named in the scope; no fixed interval is assumed.
